Ernest Tubb & His Texas Troubadours

I've been a bit behind on updating the website, as of late, but I'm making some progress playing catch up. By wrapping up all of my latest commission obligations, I can get back to doing the projects I really want. This is a recent project I'm quite proud of: Ernest Tubb & His Texas Troubadours "The World Broadcast Recordings 1944-1945" LP. This was recently released for Record Store Day 2024 (on April 20th to be exact) with a limited run of 3,000 copies on yellow vinyl, produced and released by our great friends, ORG Music. This compilation album features several great transcription recordings by Tubb & His Texas Troubadours, many being commercially released on vinyl for the first time. The sound quality of these recordings is astounding, if I may say so myself. Hopefully, you can find a copy for yourself from your local record store, if you don't already have it. If not, perhaps you can score a copy online. (I may need a couple more copies for my collection!)
I'm a big fan of Tubb's and Texas country music in general, so being asked to work on the packaging for this project was a real dream come true. I'm hoping more projects like this come down the line in the near future. ORG Music has been a blast to work with over the years, and they've become one of my favorite regular clients. (I finally updated the website with images of other ORG Music album packaging projects I've worked on over the last few years, and other projects, too.)
I'm making it a point to accept more commissions like this, since I don't really have any incentive to make paintings. For me, album covers are much more fun to do. Plus, this is all I've ever really wanted to do as a working artist. So, thanks for indulging me and letting me share.
