Happy 2022!

Happy 2022, y'all.
I hope the new year is treating everyone well, or as well as possible while we're still in the midst of this stupid pandemic. Things are ok on this end. January is always a challenge to get organized and be on the ball after a lovely and festive holiday season, but the wheels are in motion. I've been making some new collages here and there, but mostly, I've been trying to take stock of what I've already produced and what I'm going to do with all this work. I think I'd still like to compile the collage designs from the last couple of years and produce a series of art books. Nothing fancy, just a nice presentation to show off at parties. In the meantime, many of my collages from 2020 and 2021 are available through the web shop, many of which have not previously been shared on Instagram. I'll be adding more over the next few weeks, so keep checking back.
Aside from working, cleaning, and trying to organize the studio, I'm back in the classroom teaching design to undergrad students again, as well as trying to make some headway on my post-grad thesis research work. I'm determined to make The Texas Jukebox Project a physical thing, even if it kills me. So far so good...
It's actually cold in DFW right now, but I'm ready for some milder, Spring-like weather; sun, cool breeze, and the smell of fresh-cut grass again.
Anyhow, still not a whole lot of exciting stuff to report on this end. However, in the coming weeks and months, you may see some changes to the website, as I reconfigure what I want this site to really be. I think it may end up being a portfolio vehicle for my collage work, or it may not...I haven't fully decided yet. The problem is I have too many interests, right now, and not enough of me to go around to enjoy all these interests. So, I really need to decide what is going to take a back seat and what will get my slightly undivided attention.
Stay healthy, sane, and entertained. Be kind to each other and maybe enjoy a snack or two. -J
