I Love The UK.

My wife and I recently visited the mother land, and it was a great exercise in immersing ourselves in history, culture, and friendly people, for a couple of weeks. It was also nice to bring a camera with me and take some photos.

London has changed quite a bit since I was last there in 2002, but much of it was the same. The weather was great, the food was better than I anticipated, and I was thankful to see some stellar architecture. The Underground is my favorite part of London (I have no idea why), but seeing the city on foot is spectacular. I'm very thankful we were able to take this trip together.

Two highlights from the trip were Winston Churchill's Underground Bunker Museum and the British Transportation Museum. Being a fan of The Underground and WWII history, it was great learning more about these aspects of British history and culture. Oh, and I did walk the famous crosswalk at Abbey Road (finally). It's much smaller than it looks on the album cover.

The only disappointing thing about the trip was having to come home to the shit show that is America, currently. I won't get into that here, but it was eye-opening to learn what Europeans really think about America. Not all Americans, mind you, but some in particular.

Anyhow, trying to figure out how to get back to the UK ASAP. The great thing is I can do what I do from anywhere in the world. Dear UK, please figure out how you can have more than just 50 days average of sunshine per year. Us Texans have over 200 days of sunshine, and it helps.
