Happy to announce "Cobra issue 2" is slated for release this later this summer. It's wild to think it's already been a year since I produced issue 1, but here we are. Above and below is a little sneak peek from the forthcoming zine/chapbook thingy. In addition to the zine, there will be some additional goodies included, like art prints, stickers, and some unique packaging. Issue 2 will have a larger print run this time around, as this issue will have Risograph printed interiors with hand silk screened covers, printed in a red and black motif, which has always been one of my favorite color combos. Issue 1 was entirely screen printed in black on various color paper stocks, which took longer to produce with a very small print run (only 26 copies!) Despite the work, it was worth the effort.

Issue 2 will also be a two color print job, which will make for more interesting eye candy this time around. "Cobra" will be available exclusively through the web shop, with details coming closer to launch.
"Cobra" has been a fun exercise in messing around with layered design, digital and analog collage, and simply having fun with being creative without any expectations. The point is not to make a zine to sell. This is entirely for myself, and if I happen to sell a copy or two, cool. But, I've been spending a great deal of time reclaiming creative processes that bring me joy, in an effort to replenish my creative well. I'm enjoying a level of creativity that isn't fully for commercial purposes or to make someone else's creative vision a reality. In fact, I'm kind of done with the majority of commissions and commercial designing for outside clients, for the most part. It's become fuck-all boring. Getting back to making the art I want to see has been pure joy, a joy I'll share here and there in small increments.
Anyhow, I'm looking forward to "Cobra" 2 manifesting into physical form soon. I love the Risograph process and just makes me even more excited for art and design that can be held in your hands without needing an app, download code, login, or any of that other bullshit.
Stay tuned for more details soon.
