I'm happy to announce "Cobra issue 2" is slated for release August 15, 2026. It's wild to think it's already been a year since I produced issue 1, but here we are. Above is a little sneak peek from the forthcoming zine/chapbook thingy, complete with two different covers. In addition to the zine, there will be some additional goodies included, like art prints, a sticker, button, and some unique packaging. Issue 2 will have a larger print run this time around, as this issue will have Risograph printed interiors with a hand silk screened and die-cut cover, printed in a red and black motif, which has always been one of my favorite color combos. Issue 1 was entirely screen printed in black on various color paper stocks, which took longer to produce with a very small print run (only 26 copies!) Despite the work, it was worth the effort.

Issue 2 will be a two color print job, which will make for more interesting eye candy this time around. "Cobra" will be available exclusively through the web shop, at first. I may try to do a pop-up shop type thing in the future if I have any copies left over after the initial offering.

"Cobra" has been a fun exercise in messing around with layered design, digital and analog collage, and simply having fun with being creative without any expectations. The point is not to make a zine to sell. This is entirely for my own entertainment, and if I happen to sell a copy or two, cool. But, I've been spending a great deal of time reclaiming the creative processes that bring me joy in an effort to replenish my creative well. I'm enjoying a level of creativity that isn't fully for commercial purposes or to make someone else's creative vision a reality. In fact, I'll be taking a hiatus from the majority of commissions and commercial design projects for outside clients. It's become fuck-all boring, in all honesty. Getting back to making the art I want to see has been pure joy, a joy I'll share here and there in small increments. I'm even starting to get the itch to paint again.

Anyhow, I'm excited to see "Cobra" 2 has manifested into physical form. I love the Risograph process and just makes me even more excited for art and design that can be held in your hands without the need for an app, download code, login, subscription, or any of that other bullshit.

The pre-order is now live in the web shop with a limit of two copies per customer.

A BIG THANKS to Pet Riso Studio in Philadelphia for doing a smashing job on the Riso printed interior pages. I'm looking forward to working with them again in the future. Issue 3 is already in the works, which may not wait until Summer 2027.
